The short version

SecretSantaDraw is private by architecture, not by promise. The draw runs entirely in your browser. The names you enter and the results are never sent to, stored on, or visible to our servers. Each person's match is encoded directly into their private link — the link is the data.

What we collect

• Names and draw results: never uploaded. They exist only in your browser tab and inside the private links you choose to share.
• Accounts and emails: none exist. There is nothing to sign up for.
• Cookies: no tracking cookies are set by the application.

What this means in practice

• We can't recover a lost link — we never had it. The organizer can re-tell a result or run a new draw.
• Anyone who has a person's private link can see that person's match. Share links only with their owner.
• Closing the tab clears everything from your device.

Hosting & analytics

The site is served as static files via Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request logs (IP address, user agent) to deliver the pages — see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. If we add privacy-respecting, cookie-less analytics in the future, this page will say so.
